Kayla Itsines // BBG Week 6, Day 1

Hey lovely people – welcome to another week of BBG!

I personally had a very average last week; did all my training, but had a big girl night on the weekend (including copious amount of alcohol, and yes, fast food). I basically feel like the progress I made last week now accounts for nothing, because of how big my weekend was.

In reality, I know this is not the case. What this weekend has caused me to realise is, I really do actually enjoy eating healthy and looking after my body.

After a weekend of alcohol and fast food, my body has packed up shop.

I broke out in hives yesterday, had a belly ache and felt bloated all day following eating crappy, greasy fast food on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

It’s no coincidence for me; I’ve not felt that way in a long, long time, and my diet and drinking habits over the weekend are the only thing I can put it down to.

So, I’ve vowing for a better week. I know that one bad weekend doesn’t wash away all the good, but I’m committed to making better choices when I’m out.

I’m excited to get back into routine of workouts and eating better. Here’s a better Week 6 for me!

    • I really appreciate your words – thank you! I think it’s hard to change your mindset of treating BBG, or any other fitness regime, as a lifestyle change – 1 or 2 days, or treats, are not going to derail everything! It’s an entirely different thought process for me, so is going to take some getting used to I think.
